LAKEVIEW — Singer songwriter Phillip-Michael Scales will host JC Brooks on his live podcast this week.
At 8 p.m. Thursday, the two will record "The Company You Keep," which Scales describes as "a tiny desk concert meets a talk show" at Uncommon Ground, 3800 N. Clark St.
JC Brooks is the frontman for the Uptown Sound, which has performed at Lollapalooza and Uptown Saturday Nights. Learn more about JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound here.
Scales, formerly known as Briar Rabbit, is a songwriter and nephew of B.B. King, according to his biography.
