PORTAGE PARK — A rapid-fire barrage of speakers, screenings and festivals will be coming to Patio Theater, 6008 W. Irving Park Road, in March and April.

• On March 18, the theater will air a series of short films created by the crew of NBC's "Chicago P.D."

The event is billed as a fundraiser, with each $20 ticket sale benefiting the anti-gun violence group Patrick Lives On.

• On March 26, former NFL running back and College Football Hall of Famer Ricky Williams will give "motivational thoughts" followed by a Q&A session, according to the event description. The evening will also include a screening of the ESPN 30-for-30 film made about him, "Run Ricky Run."

Tickets start at $20, but those willing to pay more can get "quality one-on-one time" and signed memorabilia from Williams.

• The theater will host "Motonight," featuring "movies about man and machine," at 6 p.m. April 1. Tickets range from $8-$11.

• The Banff Centre's Mountain Film Festival world tour will stop at the Patio Theater for two nights, April 7 and 8, to showcase dozens of short films and documentaries about the world's most terrifying and majestic peaks.

Previews of the films, which jump from Arizona to Iceland to Iran, can be seen on the Banff Centre's website.

Viewers can buy a $20 ticket for a single night, or a two-day pass for $36.
