COOK COUNTY CRIMINAL COURTHOUSE — The convicted sex offender who filmed boys using urinals at Wrigley Field last summer has been sentenced to eight years in prison.

Nichols Gregor, 37, pleaded guilty Wednesday to aggravated criminal sexual abuse and filming a child as a sex offender without parental consent.

Judge Michael McHale sentenced Gregor to eight years in prison.

Gregor was arrested June 4 after a Winnetka man noticed Gregor acting suspiciously near the man's 12-year-old son, who was using a urinal in a Wrigley Field men's restroom at the time, court records show.

Gregor was holding a black object the size of an iPhone and standing so close to the boy that "a few times he rubbed shoulders" with the child, Assistant State's Attorney Marilyn Salas-Wail said in June.

When police arrested Gregor, they found multiple explicit videos of men and boys using the urinals at Wrigley Field, 1060 W. Addison St., between 1:45 p.m. and 3:25 p.m. Saturday, prosecutors said.

At least four videos depicted minor children, according to Salas-Wail.

Gregor, who lives in suburban Villa Park, was previously convicted in 2011 of filming a 14-year-old boy in a bathroom and filming boys inside a recreation center in DuPage, records show. He is required to register as a sex offender.
