GOLD COAST — A man broke into a woman's Gold Coast apartment and took her credit cards and cash as she slept earlier this month, police said.

The suspect committed the burglary early Feb. 5 after opening the victim's unlocked door in the 1000 block of North Clark Street, police said.

Police released a surveillance image of the man this week, and described him as a 5-foot-10 to 6-foot-tall black man weighing between 180 and 200 pounds and wearing an Adidas backpack.

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call Near North district detectives at (312) 747-8382.
