CHICAGO — Police are searching for suspects following two robberies in West Englewood.

In each attack, robbers walked up to people and stole their belongings before running away, police announced in a community alert Tuesday. Robbers may have exited a car before the attacks, officers said.

The first robbery happened about 7 a.m. Feb. 6 in the 6800 block of South Ashland Avenue, while the second occurred about 7 p.m. Feb. 12 in the 6500 block of South Hoyne Avenue.

Police said the attackers were male, between 17 and 25 years old, roughly 5-foot-8 to 6-feet tall and weighed anywhere from 140-170 pounds. They had a "dark complexion," officers said.

Police ask anyone with information to call Area South detectives at 312-747-8273 and mention case Nos. JA143229 and JA151369.
