CHICAGO — A shooting in Riverdale killed Michael Lawrence-Harrington, 27, on Monday night, officials said.
At 8:14 p.m., officers responding to a call of shots fired found the man in a field in the 900 block of East 132nd Street, police said.
The man had been shot in the left side of his chest and right side of his torso and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, police said.
Lawrence-Harrington, of the 1300 block of South Langley Avenue, was pronounced dead at 9:25 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. The Medical Examiner's Office said the shooting occurred in the 800 block of East 132nd Street.
No one was in custody.
