Police Seek Suspects In 8 Auburn Gresham Robberies

CHICAGO — Police are looking for suspects following a robbery spree in Auburn Gresham.

In each attack, one to three robbers used either a gun or physical force to intimidate victims, police said in a community alert Tuesday. The robberies happened about:

• 4 p.m. Jan. 28 in the 8100 block of South Morgan Street

• 6:20 p.m. Jan. 28 in the 8000 block of South Carpenter Street

• 8:10 p.m. Jan. 31 in the 8200 block of South Carpenter Street

• 11:30 p.m. Feb. 3 in the 8100 block of South Racine Avenue

• 3:45 p.m. Feb. 9 in the 8000 block of South Carpenter Street

• 7 p.m. Feb. 13 in the 8600 block of South Elizabeth Street

• 6 p.m. Feb. 14 in the 8200 block of South Carpenter Street

• and 9:30 p.m. Feb. 14 in the 8200 block of South Carpenter Street.

Police described the attackers as black males ranging in age from 16 to 30. In one incident, officers said, the robber was 27 to 30 years old, roughly 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall and weighed roughly 160 to 170 pounds. The man had a medium complexion and a scar on his nose; he wore a black Nike hoodie.
