CHICAGO — A 13-year-old boy was shot and wounded in Auburn Gresham on Sunday night, police said.
At 8:14 p.m., the boy was in the 7600 block of South Peoria when a dark-colored SUV pulled up next to him and someone inside the car fired shots at the boy, police said.
The boy was hit in his left arm and taken to Comer Children's Hospital in good condition, police said.
No one was in custody.
Last week saw the deaths of three children — 12-year-old Kanari Bowers, 11-year-old Takiya Holmes and 2-year-old Lavontay White — in separate shootings.
