CHICAGO — A shooting in Englewood wounded an off-duty Cook County Sheriff's employee Saturday night, police said.
At 8:37 p.m., the 36-year-old man was standing in front of a home in the 7300 block of South Aberdeen Street when two men walked out of a vacant lot and fired shots at him, police said.
The man was hit in his right leg and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition, police said.
No one was in custody.
