CHICAGO — Eddie Thomas, 33, was shot to death in Austin on Saturday afternoon, officials said.
At 3:33 p.m., the man was outside in the 4900 block of West Van Buren Street when someone in a silver car pulled up next to him and fired shots, police said.
Thomas, who lived in the 5000 block of West Adams Street, was hit multiple times throughout his body and taken to Loyola University Medical Center in serious condition, police said.
He was pronounced dead at 5:11 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No one was in custody.
