NORWOOD PARK — Ever wonder what Cook County Commissioners are doing with your tax dollars?

On Wednesday Commissioner Peter Silvestri (Norwood Park, Edison Park) will host a two-hour seminar to explain how county government works and how citizens can hold it accountable.

Silvestri, now in his fifth term on the county board, will give a presentation and answer questions at Norwood Crossing, 6016 N. Nina Ave., about the responsibilities and challenges facing the Cook County Board.

The event will be from 2-4 p.m. and include a "raffle and light refreshments," according to an announcement.

Attendees can RSVP by calling 773-577-5323 or emailing info@norwoodcrossing.org.
