CHICAGO — Six people have been shot in Chicago since Monday morning, including a 15-year-old boy, police said.
One of the shootings involved a home invasion and attempted robbery.
At 2:28 a.m. Tuesday, a 19-year-old man was shot in the 1400 block of South Central Park Avenue. In that incident, two armed attackers knocked on the door and said they would rob the place after the victim's uncle answered the door.
The victim heard the commotion and shut the door to his bedroom. The two attackers tried to get into the bedroom, and one of them shot through the door before running from the home.
The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital after being shot in his side. He is listed in good condition.
In other shootings:
• In North Kenwood, a 30-year-old man was shot while standing on a sidewalk in the 4700 block of South Drexel Blvd. at 9 p.m. Monday. He was taken by a friend to St. Bernard Hospital after being shot in his foot.
• A shooting in Uptown Monday evening left two people, including a 17-year-old, wounded.
• In North Lawndale, a 15-year-old boy was grazed by a bullet in his leg about 5:35 p.m. in the 4300 block of West Ogden Ave. The incident involved a dark-colored sedan that pulled up next to the boy before someone inside fired several shots. The boy was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he is listed in good condition.
• In Auburn Gresham, a 20-year-old man was shot several times in his chest while in the 8300 block of South Sangamon Street at 3:18 p.m. He was taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park, where is was listed in critical condition.
None of the incidents resulted in arrests.
