CHICAGO — Malike Ellis, 18, died after being shot in his chest in North Lawndale on Tuesday morning, officials said.
The incident occurred in the 4100 block of West 18th St. at 9:30 a.m.
The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
Ellis, of the 22500 block of South Kirkland, was pronounced dead at 9:53 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
