Doors Kicked In By Burglars in String of Washington Heights Break-Ins

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — Chicago Police are warning of a series of apartment burglaries in Washington Heights.

Apartment buildings in the 9000 through 9200 south blocks, between Ada and Laflin streets have been targeted, according to police in the Morgan Park District.

The burglar kicks open the door of the apartments and steals items from inside. The burglaries take place primarily during the daytime and afternoon hours, police said.

Specifically, the burglaries occurred:

• Jan. 25 in the 9000 block of South Ada St.

• Jan. 28 in the 9000 block of South Ada St.

• Between Feb. 3-7 in the 9000 block of South Laflin St.

• Feb. 6 in the 9100 block of South Ada St.
