CHICAGO — Lake Shore Drive will see lane and ramp closures starting Friday night.
The lanes and ramps will be closed through Saturday morning as part of construction on the Interchange Reconstruction project. That project is expected to be complete this fall.
The closures:
• The two right lanes on southbound Lake Shore Drive will be closed 10 p.m. Friday-7 a.m. Saturday.
• The ramp from northbound Lake Shore Drive to the outbound Stevenson will be closed 11 p.m. Friday-4 a.m. Saturday. A detour will be available.
• The ramp from southbound Lake Shore Drive to the outbound Stevenson will be closed 4-7 a.m. Saturday. A detour will be available.
Drivers should expect delays and plan for trips to take more time than usual, IDOT said.
