West Town Shooting Wounds Man, 26, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in West Town wounded a 26-year-old man early Wednesday, police said.

At 2 a.m., the man was walking down the street in the 500 block of North Wood Street when he heard shots and felt pain, police said.

The man was hit in his leg and took himself to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

No one was in custody.
