CHICAGO — Police are looking for suspects, including one that wore a blue shirt and patch that resembled a police patch, in two armed robberies in Humboldt Park and Garfield Park.

The first occurred about 11:10 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of South Kilbourn Avenue, according to a news release from the Chicago Police Department. The victim was walking in an alley when two robbers pulled up in a four-door silver car.

One suspect stepped out of the vehicle, pulled a gun and stole money and clothing, police said. The victim described the attacker as a white man in his 20s or 30s who weighed roughly 170 pounds and could've been between 6-foot-2 and 6-foot-5. He carried a handheld radio, the victim said, and wore a blue shirt and patch that resembled a police patch.

The suspect's accomplice was described as a black man in his 20s or 30s. Police provided no additional details.

The second attack happened roughly two hours later, at 1:05 a.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of North Monticello Avenue, police said. The same suspects were armed with guns when they approached several victims in the hallway of an apartment building.

The victims were able to run away, police said, and the robbers forced their way into an apartment, where they stole a television.

Police ask anyone with information to call Area North detectives at 312-744-8263 and mention case numbers JA1444419 and JA1444476.
