NEW CITY — Otis Wilson will hold a Super Bowl charity fundraiser Sunday at Kings Bowl, 1500 N. Clybourn Ave.

The former Bears linebacker is expected to be joined by his 1985 Super Bowl XX champion teammates Richard Dent, Dan Hampton and Mike Richardson, as well as other former Bears and NFL players including Lance Briggs, Mike Huff and Adrian Peterson.

Tickets for the event starting at 5 p.m. are $55 and include two cocktails, pizza and access to a viewing deck to see the celebrity bowlers. VIP tickets are $105 and include a 4 p.m. reception and a meet-and-greet with the celebrity bowlers. Kickoff for Super Bowl LI is at 5:30 p.m.

In a statement, Wilson called the event "an exciting way to catch all the big-game action while surrounded by a great group of people and giving back to the children of our community."

The Otis Wilson Charitable Association was created, in part, "to expose children to opportunities otherwise not available to them," according to a news release on the event. It sponsors a youth mentoring program, the Otis Wilson Athletic Sports Camp, the Better Chance Youth Summer Golf Camp, the Today’s Kidz Fitness & Health Expo and the Otis Wilson Celebrity Golf Classic.

The association boasts it has helped more than 10,000 children in the Chicago area.
