UPTOWN — An 8-story apartment building has been proposed for a busy Uptown corner.

Developers CRG Real Estate Solutions proposed the 147-apartment building with a retail space for the southeast corner of Sheridan Road and Wilson Avenue, Ald. James Cappleman (46th) said in his weekly newsletter.

It have 29 parking spots and a 7,000-square-foot retail space along Wilson Avenue, according to the 46th Ward website. The city allows so-called "transit-oriented developments" located near public transportation to have far few parking spots than normally required of buildings with so many units.

Developers are seeking a zoning change for the mixed-use building, according to the website.

In September 2015, a Cedar Street project received a zoning change for the corner, but it "was not executed," according to the alderman's website.

Clarendon Park Neighbors Association will review the proposal before it's presented to the 46th Ward Zoning and Development Committee. The next meeting for the committee is 7 p.m. Feb. 27.

Forum Studio is the architect for the project.
