Knife-Wielding Robbers Target People In Logan Square, Police Say

CHICAGO — A group of boys or men are robbing people at knifepoint in Logan Square, police said.

During four recent robberies, three to five boys or men got out of a car, robbed someone and then got into the car and drove away, according to a Chicago Police community alert.

The robberies occurred:

• 6:15 p.m. Jan. 15 in the 3100 block of West Wellington Avenue

• 6:30 p.m. Jan. 15 in the 2900 block of North Albany Avenue

• 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the 2500 block of North Sawyer Avenue

• 2:15 a.m. Saturday in the 2000 block of North Campbell Avenue

The robbers were described as Latino boys or men who were 12 to 25 years old, police said. One wore a black, furry jacket and another wore a black bandana and hat.
