CHICAGO — The front window of a Lincoln Park bridal store, Aisle Chic, was found broken early Tuesday.

At 12:02 a.m., officers were called to the shop near North Clark Street and West Belden Avenue for the smashed window, said Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The case was being treated as criminal damage to property and it did not appear anything had been stolen, police said.

"Thankfully, no employees were present as we were closed at that time," Natalie Bauer, one of the store's co-owners, said in an email. "We are thankful for everyone's safety and that nothing was stolen."

It appeared someone had thrown a rock through the window, Bauer said, but there was no other damage.

The store was expected to re-open for its normal hours on Thursday.
