5 Wounded In Shootings Since Saturday, Police Say

CHICAGO — Shootings have wounded 5 people since Saturday, police said.

Most recently:

• At 1:45 a.m. Sunday, a 16-year-old boy was shot in Parkway Gardens, police said. The boy was walking on the sidewalk in the 6300 block of South Prairie Avenue when a person in a dark-colored sedan fired shots.

The boy was hit in the left thigh and took himself to Mercy Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 9:03 p.m. Saturday, a 44-year-old man was shot during a home invasion in Lawndale, police said.

The man was sitting in a bedroom of a first floor apartment in the 3800 block of West Flournoy Street when two men kicked in the front door and bedroom door and demanded money, police said. One of the men fired shots and hit the 44-year-old in the left foot twice.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

No money was taken and no one is in custody, police said. The man was a documented gang member, police said.

• At 6:30 p.m., a 14-year-old boy was shot in Auburn Gresham, police said. The boy was walking past a group of people in the 7700 block of South Sangamon Street when someone fired shots, police said.

The boy was hit in the right wrist and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 4:10 p.m., a 19-year-old man was shot in Portage Park, police said. The man was in his vehicle in the 3500 block of North Laramie Avenue when another vehicle pulled up alongside him and someone inside fired several shots, police said.

The man was hit in the abdomen and took himself to Community First Medical Center, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 2:41 p.m., a 24-year-old man was shot in South Shore, police said. The man was driving in the 2800 block of East 76th Street when a person in another car pulled up and fired shots, police said.

The man was hit in the back and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

No one was in custody in these shootings.
