CHICAGO — A 30-year-old man was killed in Englewood on Thursday, officials said.
He was identifed as Garcel Woods of west suburban Westchester.
At 12:46 p.m., the man was found unresponsive in the 6300 block of South Parnell Avenue, police said. He had puncture wounds in his chest and hand.
Woods was pronounced dead, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed Woods had been shot multiple times in a homicide.
Police originally said the man had been stabbed to death.
No one was in custody.
