WICKER PARK — A woman was robbed early Thursday in front of her home, located on the same block as Bucktown's busy Walsh Park, according to police.

Around 6:55 a.m. Thursday, a 56-year-old woman was in front of her home, in the 1700 block of North Marshfield Avenue, when two men approached her and demanded her personal belongings, said Officer Nicole Amezaga, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

Amezaga said that a weapon "was implied" but not shown to the victim. There was no further information on what was taken from the woman.

The two alleged robbers were described as black men estimated to be between 20 to 25 years old. They fled the scene in a gray 4-door car headed southbound on Marshfield Avenue toward North Avenue, Amezaga said.

The woman was not injured and no one is in custody. Area North detectives are investigating and anyone with information is encourage to call 312-744-8263.
