Jacon Norwood, 24, Killed In East Garfield Park Shooting, Officials Say

CHICAGO — Jacon Norwood, 24, was shot to death while sitting in a car in East Garfield Park on Saturday, officials said.

At 1:42 p.m., the man was parked in the 2600 block of West Monroe Street when someone walked up and shot him in his neck, according to police.

The man was brought to Stroger Hospital, police said.

Norwood, of the 800 block of South Karlov Avenue, was pronounced dead at 2:09 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

No one was in custody, police said.
