Armani Pickett, 20, Killed In Humboldt Park Shooting; 2 Wounded: Officials

HUMBOLDT PARK — Armani Pickett, 20, died and two others were wounded after being shot in Humboldt Park on Saturday, officials said.

At 3:59 a.m., officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 3900 block of West Thomas Street and found two men with gunshot wounds in their heads, police said.

Pickett, of the 5700 block of North Talman, was pronounced dead at 4:05 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

The other man, 36, was brought to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said. A third man, 42, was brought to Norwegian Hospital in good condition with a gunshot wound in his arm.

Police said they believed the shooting to be "gang-related."

No one was in custody, police said.
