NORWOOD PARK — Krav Maga Illinois, 5201 N. Oketo Ave., will hold a 2½-hour workshop Sunday uniquely designed to teach techniques to law enforcement officers, the studio announced.

Created by the Israeli military, Krav Maga blends aikido, judo, boxing and wrestling into a practical martial art designed to avoid — or quickly end — confrontations in the real world.

Sunday's "specialized law enforcement seminar" will focus on "defensive techniques ... and scenarios that a law enforcement officer may encounter while on and off the job," according to the training center's website.

The seminar will be taught by Jon Pascal, a Krav Maga instructor and 15-year veteran of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Registration in the seminar costs $60. Anyone interested should call 773-775-5201 or email ILKravMaga@aol.
