CHICAGO — Bruce Owens, 15, was shot to death in Englewood on Thursday night, officials said.
At 8:53 p.m., the boy was in the 6900 block of South Stewart Avenue when someone walked up to him, fired shots and drove away in a dark-colored car, police said.
The boy was hit several times in his chest and abdomen and was taken to Comer Children's Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Owens, of the 6900 block of South Harvard, was pronounced dead at 11:39 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No one was in custody.
