DOWNTOWN — Chicago Police will be out in force Saturday night looking for drunken drivers on Lake Shore Drive.

Police said Thursday officers will set up DUI checkpoints from 6 p.m. Saturday-2 a.m. Sunday on Lake Shore Drive.

As with other saturation patrols, extra police will be watching for speeding cars, people driving under the influence and other vehicle violations.

The last operation on Jan. 14 in the Chicago Lawn District on the southwest side resulted in one DUI arrest, according to police. Another 121 tickets were issued for driver’s license, insurance and other vehicle violations, police said.
