CHICAGO — Police are reminding residents to lock windows and doors after a rash of burglaries around East Village and West Town.
Officers from the Near West District said someone burglarize apartments during daytime hours in the following blocks:
• On Jan. 7, in the 1800 block of West Iowa Street
• On Jan. 12, in the 2000 block of West Rice Street and in the 2000 block of West Iowa Street
Officers also reminded residents to make sure their homes are well lit and to report suspicious activity immediately.
