PORTAGE PARK — Anyone in the market for antique salt shakers or a funky knit sweater will have to wait two weeks until Thrift & Thrive, 6025 W. Irving Park Road, completes a minor renovation.

The secondhand store at the heart of the Irving Austin Business District won't be ready for shoppers until Feb. 1, owners Joe and Melissa Basilone announced via Instagram on Monday.

The renovation will include new floor tiles, a redecorated storefront and a more spacious basement, which will allow the store to expand its wares, Melissa Basilone told DNAinfo.

"Exciting things are on the horizon," Basilone said.
