LINCOLN PARK — A 21-year-old man was ticketed for attempting to take a selfie at Lincoln Park Zoo Wednesday.

Around 11:30 a.m., the man stepped over a small metal railing around a seal exhibit at the zoo in the 2100 block of North Cannon Drive, according to the Chicago Police Department.

Zoo staff asked the man to step back into the public area and he complied, but was ticketed by police who were called to the scene, police said.

At no time were animals or the man in danger, police said.

The man is scheduled to appear before an administrative hearing officer at 400 W. Superior St. on March 7, police said.
