CHICAGO — A 31-year-old man was critically wounded in a shooting Thursday night in the South Loop, police said.

At 7:10 p.m., the man was walking in the 2000 block of South Indiana Avenue when a white pickup truck drove up and someone inside fired shots, police said.

The man was hit in his back and stomach and was taken to Northwestern Hospital in critical condition, police said.

No one is in custody, but detectives believe the shooting may have been domestic in nature, said Ald. Pat Dowell (3rd), whose ward includes the site of the shooting.

Dowell said police are looking for a newer white Dodge Ram 3500 with four rear tires. The truck might contain "40" or "04" in its license plate, Dowell said.
