WICKER PARK — An armed robber sneaked into a woman's apartment late Sunday, forced her to take her clothes off and then fondled her before leaving with her bike and electronics, police said.

Between 11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Sunday, the intruder entered the 31-year-old woman's apartment in the 2100 block of West Concord Place, a quiet residential side street west of Milwaukee Avenue.

Threatening the woman with a gun and forcing her to disrobe, the man then used her clothes to tie her up, police sources told DNAinfo.

Officer Michael Carroll, a Chicago Police spokesman, confirmed that the woman had been tied up by the intruder. During the assault, the woman was fondled, Carroll said.

After assaulting the woman, the intruder made her walk with him into each room of her apartment, she told police. He took several of her belongings, including an iPad, police sources said.

Before leaving, the man punched the woman's TV, the sources said.

On his way out the back door, the man took a distinctive Trek triathlon road bike with triangular handlebars riders use to rest their wrists on during races.

Carroll described the intruder, who entered and left the apartment through the back door, as a black man, about 6 feet tall, 170 to 175 pounds and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and light blue jeans.

"I've never heard of anything like this happening here,"  said one neighbor, walking to work Tuesday morning. "It's definitely disturbing. I'm thinking of my girlfriend home alone in our apartment."

Area North detectives are investigating. Anyone with information or tips can call 312-744-8266.
