CHICAGO — Seven people were wounded in shootings Thursday, police said.

• Most recently, at 10:28 p.m., a 40-year-old man was shot in Belmont Cragin, police said.

The man was walking on the sidewalk in the 3100 block of North Kilpatrick Avenue when he was shot in his buttocks, police said. He was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital, where his condition was not released but police considered him to be stable.

• At 9:20 p.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in Belmont Cragin, police said.

He was driving 5700 block of West Diversey Avenue when he heard shots and was struck in his left leg, police said. He then ran a red light and struck a car before being taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital, where his condition was not released but police considered him to be stable.

• At 9:13 p.m., a 24-year-old man was shot in Washington Park, police said.

He got into an argument inside a home in the 5900 block of South Calumet Avenue when someone shot at him. He was struck in his leg and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in fair condition, police said.

• At 1 p.m., a 37-year-old man was shot in Gage Park, police said.

The man was in the 5400 block of South Kedzie Avenue when he was shot in his thigh and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition, police said.

• At 11:27 a.m., a 45-year-old man was shot in a robbery attempt in Greater Grand Crossing, police said.

Two masked men walked into a building in the 500 block of East 75th Street and demanded money from a group, police said. The 45-year-old was shot in the chest and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in what police referred to as "stable" condition. A 43-year-old man was also struck with a blunt object and was taken to Jackson Park Hospital in good condition, police said.

• At 10:56 a.m., a 25-year-old man was shot in Humboldt Park, police said.

He was standing on a front porch in the 700 block of North Christiana Avenue when a man walked up and began firing, police said. He was struck twice in his abdomen and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was not released but police considered him to be stable.

• At 9:41 a.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in Woodlawn, police said.

He was in the 800 block of East 63rd Street when another man started to rob him and then shot him in the back, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not released but police considered him to be stable.
