CHICAGO — Armed robberies in Woodlawn and Park Manor left three people hospitalized Thursday, police said.

At 9:41 a.m., a man was shot in the back during a robbery attempt in the 800 block of East 63rd Street, according to police. The 20-year-old victim was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was listed as "stable," police said.

About 3 hours later, two armed, masked men entered a location in the 500 block of East 75th Street and demanded money from people inside, police said. One man, 45, was shot in his chest during the robbery and a 43-year-old man was hit with a "blunt object," police said.

The gunshot victim was taken to Christ Hospital where he was listed as "stable" and the beating victim was taken to Jackson Park Hospital in good condition, police said.

Further information was not immediately available, and no one was in custody for either attack.
