Man Robbing Restaurants At Gunpoint In West Lawn, Police Say

CHICAGO — A man has been robbing restaurants at gunpoint in West Lawn, police said.

At least four restaurants on Pulaski Road have been robbed since Dec. 9, police said in a community alert Tuesday.

In the incidents, a man walks into the businesses and pulls out a handgun before demanding money from the register, police said. The man hit up three restaurants in the same Pulaski Road block, police said.

The incidents happened at:

• 10 p.m. Dec. 9 in the 6300 block of South Pulaski Road

• 11:30 a.m. Dec. 15 in the 6300 block of South Pulaski Road

• 6:50 p.m. Dec. 20 in the 6300 block of South Pulaski Road

• 9:15 p.m. Monday in the 5900 block of South Pulaski Road

Police have described the robber as a Hispanic man ages 30-45, standing 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-10 and weighing about 175 pounds.
