CHICAGO — A 23-year-old man was killed in a Greater Grand Crossing shooting Tuesday afternoon, according to police.
Around 5:10 p.m., the man was walking in the 6400 block of South King Drive when two people walked up to him and began firing, police said.
He was shot once in his head and was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.
The man has been identified as Christopher Brown, of the 10700 block of South Wentworth Avenue, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
He was a documented gang member, a police source said.
