CHICAGO — Jamil Al-Shaubi, 25, was shot dead in Back of the Yards Monday, officials said.
At 5:51 p.m., the man was walking in the 4400 block of South Hermitage Avenue when someone got out of a vehicle and fired shots, police said.
The man was hit multiple times and was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
Al-Shaubi, of the 8000 block of West Thomas, was pronounced dead at 10:30 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No one was in custody, and no further information was immediately available.
