CHICAGO — Travelers in all terminals of both Chicago's airports will be treated to a variety of musicians playing "seasonal music" from 1-4 p.m. Thursday, according to a notice from the city's Department of Aviation.

At Midway Airport, free hot chocolate will be handed out to passengers Friday, and gift-wrapping services will be offered until 3 p.m.

Officials expect about 3.4 million passengers will have flown through O'Hare Airport between Dec. 20 and Jan. 6, about a 5 percent uptick from the same period in 2015.

Meanwhile, about 1.1 million are estimated to go through Midway, or 2 percent more than last year.

The city anticipates Friday will be the busiest single travel day of the holiday season, with about 210,000 passengers flying through O'Hare and 69,000 through Midway.

O'Hare saw 77 million total travelers in 2015, more than a 10 percent jump from the previous year, according to the survey group J.D. Power.
