EDISON PARK — A newly-built four bedroom house facing the Edison Park Metra station has gone on sale for $949,000, according to a listing from the real estate site Redfin.

The 4,500-square-foot, three-story home, 6602 N. Oliphant Ave., includes a detached three-car garage, a fenced yard and a covered front porch, according to the listing.

The home features a kitchen gleaming with granite surfaces, a "massive center island" and a "breakfast bar."

Other advertised rooms include a grand foyer, a mud room with a "built-in organizer" and a fully finished basement with outdoor access.

The house stands across the street from the train station and the row of bars, restaurants and retail lining Northwest Highway.
