Beverly Businesses Break-Ins Lead To Police Alert

BEVERLY — A burglar using a pry bar to enter through the rear doors of Beverly businesses has struck three times in recent weeks, according to the Chicago Police Department.

Once inside, the thief looks in cash registers and offices in search of money and electronics, the community business alert from police in the Morgan Park District said.

The burglar was captured on a security camera in one incident. He is described as a black man between 25-35 years old. He was wearing a black winter hat and black hooded coat, according to police — who declined to share the image.

The burglaries occurred:

• At 12:57 a.m. Nov. 26 in the 9600 block of South Western Avenue in Beverly.

• Between midnight-7:45 a.m. Dec. 5 in the 2100 block of West 95th Street in Beverly.

• At 10 p.m. Wednesday in the 2100 block of West 95th Street in Beverly.

Anyone with additional information on the burglaries is asked to call detectives at 312-747-8273.
