CHICAGO — The Anti-Cruelty Society has waived its adoption fees for those who want to rescue an animal in Chicago this weekend.

The society was able to waive fees for adoptable cats and dogs thanks to a donation from a volunteer, John Road, according to a post on Facebook. The event, called Home For the Holidays, will last through the weekend.

You can see photos of the pets available for adoption online.

The event runs noon-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 510 N. LaSalle St.
