Crispin Coliz, 28, Killed In Dunning Shooting, Officials Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in Dunning killed Crispin Coliz, 28, on Friday night, officials said.

At 10:08 p.m., the man was in a convenience store when he got into an argument with two men, police said. The men left the store and the victim started to drive away.

The two men got into a light-colored SUV and followed the victim, and in the 7200 block of West Grace Street they pulled alongside the man and fired shots at him.

The man was hit in the side of his head and was taken to Lutheran General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Coliz, of Cherry Valley, was pronounced dead at 10:39 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

The man was a documented gang member, a police source said.

No one was in custody.
