CHICAGO — Shootings wounded two men in Back of the Yards on Friday, police said.
• At 10:55 p.m., an 18-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 4700 block of South Wolcott Avenue when someone in a light-colored minivan fired shots at the man, police said.
The man was hit in his back and was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said.
• At 6:12 p.m., a 19-year-old man was walking in the 4500 block of South Wood Street when he heard shots and felt pain, police said.
The man was hit in his back and was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said.
No one was in custody in these shootings.
