Auburn Gresham Shooting Wounds Man, 23, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in Auburn Gresham wounded a 23-year-old man on Thursday night, police said.

At 7:20 p.m., the man was a passenger in a car stopped in the 800 block of West 79th Street when he heard shots and his driver drove away, police said.

The man realized he had been shot in his right leg and he took himself to Trinity Hospital, police said. He was in good condition.

No one was in custody.
