CHICAGO — It'll feel like it's 15 below zero outside for much of the day Thursday — and more cold weather is coming.
Temperatures fell below zero and it felt as cold as 20 below by 7:30 a.m. Thursday, said AccuWeather meteorologist Dan Pydynowski, as Chicago was facing "gusty" winds.
The city should get a little warmer by the afternoon, though (we might even hit 8 degrees).
Still, that means it'll feel more like minus 15 to minus 10 throughout the day, Pydynowski said.
"Temperatures aren't going to rise much today. ... It's certainly colder than normal," Pydynowski said. "Having these kind of temperatures in the middle of December certainly is not unheard of for us, but it's certainly colder than average."
