
CHICAGO — Firefighters battled a fire in a three-story vacant building in North Lawndale Wednesday morning, the Fire Department said.
The department responded to calls of a fire in a building at 4315 W. 16th St., the department said. They found a three-story, vacant building in poor shape up in flames.

The fire was struck out shortly after 11 a.m., and no injuries were reported, the department said on its Twitter page.
Because of the building's poor condition and the "heavy fire," firefighters were ordered out of the building and battled the blaze from the outside, the department said.
