12th Ward To Host 13th Annual Toy Drive

BRIGHTON PARK — Kids all over the Southwest Side will soon have their pick of thousands of free toys at the annual 12th Ward toy drive.

Hosted by Ald. George Cardenas, the 13th annual event takes place 2-5 p.m. Dec. 23 at Our Lady of Fatima, 2751 W. 38th Pl. The ward office expects to hand out more than 3,000 donated toys.

The drive is open to children who live in Little Village, Brighton Park, McKinley Park and Back of the Yards. Residents should bring a proof of address.

There will be free hot cocoa, water and pastries. Kids can also have their picture taken with Santa Claus.
