LINCOLN PARK — The owners of Sakura Teppanyaki and Sushi are opening a new crab house around the corner on Clark Street in the place formerly occupied by the Peasantry.

Captain's Catch, 2723 N. Clark St., applied for a state business license as Sakura Crab House in May and a city liquor license last week as it prepares for an as yet unscheduled opening. According to state documents, its officers are the same as for Sakura Teppanyaki and Sushi, 730 W. Diversey Pkwy.

The owners did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

A sign outside as construction continues advertises it as a "Cajun/Creole Seafood Bar."

The Peasantry, serving "elevated street food," closed in October after a generally well-received run of five years in Lincoln Park. Owner Alexander Brunacci also closed Franks 'N' Dawgs, a Hot Doug's-style gourmet dog stand at 1863 N. Clybourn Ave., earlier this year.
